Ira maintains a varied litigation practice, appearing before the courts of the State of New Jersey, the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York and the District of New Jersey, the United States Tax Court, the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court. Ira also represents clients in all phases of commercial and residential real estate transactions, including zoning, planning and redevelopment matters. Prior to opening his own practice, Ira was associated with the law firm Fried Frank Harris Shriver & Jacobson.

Ira is a graduate of Amherst College (B.A. 1974) and Harvard Law School (J.D. cum laude 1978). He is admitted to practice in the States of New York and New Jersey.
