Gary’s practice
concentrates on business issues, including
contractual arrangements, regulatory practices,
consumer affairs procedures, and corporate
policy matters. Gary specializes in global
licensing, marketing and distribution issues,
and has negotiated licensing arrangements for
both licensors and licensees in a variety of
industries, including, among others, cosmetics
and fragrances, apparel and fashion accessories,
home furnishings and flooring, and medical
devices and methods. He also has designed
distribution structures and negotiated
distribution agreements in over 50 countries,
and is experienced in preparing agreements
covering contract manufacturing, warehousing and
other facets of product distribution
arrangements worldwide. In addition, Gary
specializes in the protection of intellectual
property, and administers global trademarks and
copyrights for a variety of clients.
Gary has a broad
background in general business law, having
served as Vice President and General Counsel and
a member of the Management Committee of Calvin
Klein Cosmetics Company. Previously, Gary was
associated with the law firm of Donovan Leisure
Newton & Irvine, where he was involved in the
representation of numerous Fortune 500
companies.
Gary earned his B.A. degree at the City
University of New York, where he was elected to
membership in Phi Beta Kappa; an M. P. A. degree
from New York University; and his law degree
from Fordham University Law School, where he
served on the Fordham Law Review. He is
admitted to practice in the States of New York
and Florida.
