Jerry, co-founder and managing member of Sweeney Lev, has extensive business law experience, having served as outside general counsel to various companies ranging from start-ups
and early stage companies to mature business organizations. Jerry assists clients in forming, developing, managing and acquiring businesses; negotiating international and domestic
commercial, technology development, distribution, employment, consulting and financing agreements; advertising, marketing and distributing consumer and industrial products;
licensing technology and other intellectual property; managing litigation; and commercializing OTC drugs, medical devices and cosmetics.
Prior to co-founding Sweeney Lev, Jerry served as Vice President and General Counsel of Barnes-Hind, Inc. and Coburn Optical Industries, Inc., and as Corporate Regulatory Counsel
and Senior Counsel - Cosmetics Division of Revlon Inc., companies in the medical device, OTC pharmaceuticals, equipment and cosmetics businesses. Jerry also was associated with the
law firm of Owen & Turchin.
Jerry is a graduate of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (B.S., mechanical engineering, 1968) and Columbia University School of Law (J.D. 1971) and is admitted to practice in the
States of New Jersey, New York, Illinois and California. Jerry is a member of the American Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association, the New Jersey State Bar
Association, the Illinois State Bar Association, and the State Bar of California.
